Internet access and deleted files?

My laptop has been acting odd lately. A few days ago I turned it on and found that it had moved many of my documents and some of my program files and .exe into the recycling bin. Most of these were just personal files (ie, stories, journal, etc). No big deal, I moved them back (though some had duplicates in My Doc's already, not sure where those came from). Yesterday my computer would sporradically disconnect from the internet. Today it refuses to recognise the internet at all. I have checked the wires, switched my old wire to a new wire, tried different internet outlets, even gone to a neighbors and tried to access their internet (using my computer but their wires). Nothing works.

I am generally very good at keeping my computer virus free. I recently was infected with adyeildmanager (I'm still debating what adware remover to download to fix this). My computer isn't showing any other problems.

What is wrong with my computer?

You may have an 'annoying' virus that simply deletes your files and pops them into the recycle bin. It may also be interfering with your internet connection. As strange as it may seem, there are some really sad people out there that make 'annoying' viruses to disrupt your PC operations. By annoying I mean they don't really do any harm, they just delete files and another annoying little things like that.
