Computer problems?

when i attempt to open some sites but not all i get a message from my computer saying "opening you have chosen to open

which is a: application/octet-stream

from: here the site is listed

what should firefox do with this file

open with

or shave to disk

i do not know why it is doing this but it will not let me open the site even if under the browse bar i select firefox

i am confused what should i do?

i already have a spyware remover and an adware remover

and i am obviously running firefox and not explorer as these are the things that are most alway suggested with computer problems i have already done these things please help me
