I downloaded a few programs to get of the toolbar but for some reason the website won't go away. I tried to restore my computer through windows but I think my new adware remover won't allow me to do that. ( I saw it blocked in one of the adware programs) Now that the toolbar is gone am I safe? I have used three different programs to verify that the trojan virus is gone.
How do I stop protectionwarning.com from being my default homepage. I was able to get rid of the toolbar.?norten
This is a Homepage/Browser hijacker installed by a SmitFraud Trojan. Removing the Smitfraud is the only way to remove the homepage hijacker. These two free site specialize in SmitFraud Trojan removal. It won't be easy, but they will remove it.

you go to tools internet options then u type in wat u want as ur home page
Since your homepage is pointing to http://protectionwarning.com/ , this means your PC is infected with a trojan called Zlob Trojan. Of course it is important to get rid of protectionwarning.com, but it is just as important to also remove the Zlob Trojan that implanted it there. In my experience, a program called SpyNoMore is your best bet in removing the Zlob trojan. By removing this trojan, you will also get rid of protectionwarning.com. Another symptom of Zlob Trojan is that it generates fake warning messages like:
System Alert
Critical System Error
System Performance monitor warning
Security Alert: NetWorm-i.Virus@fp
W32.Myzor.FK@yf
