Is their a free way (or a D.I.Y. way) to get rid of Virtumonde Adware?

Trying to help a coworker out with a PC that runs too slowly. While tuning up things, I caught the adware going on. Seems anywhere I look the free remover is $20.00 That seems like bodine produced fertilizer to me! I bet the adware pricks are selling the remover! Aaarrrrgggg!

The two spyware removal products that my technicians use are:

1. Spybot Search and Destroy

2. Adaware SE (free version)

Both are available from majorgeeks.com or download.com.

I suggest using both, one after the other, since few of the free versions out there can remove everything.

Don't forget to turn on the Windows Firewall if it isn't already, and consider switching to a different web browser.
