Windows Doesn鈥檛 Load?

I have a toshiba laptop ,when I was running a adware remover program the computer got stuck and when i tried to restart the computer, the computer starts and goes to the windows welcome screen(windows xp) and then the computer screen goes blank (or black). i tried to start in safe mode, and in last good configuration mode, but nothing happen , the black screen appear. what can i do ? If I have to format the C: . is there any way that i can get my files from the hard drive? please help me. Plzzzz

Download knoppix and burn it to a CD. This will allow you to boot from the CD, access the files on the hard-drive and transfer them off onto a USB stick or over the net.

Then reinstall Windows using the Recovery CD. I'm not sure if the Recovery CD will format the drive or simply reinstall Windows leaving the files in place which is why I recommend using Knoppix first.

Put the XP install disk in cd drive at the instalation screen pick repair windows leave file system as it is this will re install windows but leave your files as they are on the computer except any updates you have installed

you will still need your serial number to re install
i would suggest the recovery cd, there may be a repair option like the real windows xp disk has so that would be the first place to start
try re-install windows - most computers now allow you to boot up directly from cd - so put the initial windows cd in the drive and should go auotmatically into windows setup - click repair or re-install option. if doesnt startup from the cd might have to go into your bios and change the startup to startup from cd. Doing this will ensure you dont lose any files as well and should resolve the problem
turn off your laptop and put xp disc in cd rom,switch on and press F12 key to enter boot menu,select boot from cd rom and reload xp,you will be prompted to either delete or save existing files while reloading,this will get you up and running again.you need to be quick to hit F12 key to enter reboot menu.
