I need computer help?

my old laptop has a bunch of adware on it. i have random sounds that loop over and over again when i have no windows up. i have pop-ups 24-7, it barely lets me use the internet because it redirects me to new pages.

i have spybot search and destroy, the free version. and it always shuts off my computer during to scan. so i just let it scan some, stop it and remove the ones it already found, and scan again. and ive probably removed over 500

and i used ad aware, and it says its removed over 1000 adware

and AVG, doesnt even work on it

i dont know whether i want to completely restore it , with the cd that came with my dads aptop (its vista). or just get some kind of spyware remover that will actually work.

i cant restart it to a previous date because it only lets me go back to jan 28, 2008, and it was just as bad back then.

i dont know what to do. help?

you should reinstall if at all possible.

otherwise, find a friend that is GOOD at pc's - he can clean it up easy, it will just take some time.

there is no walking you through this. it's too tedious. you ahve to find the bad programs, stop them so you can run the good programs, etc.

Try booting into safe mode (keep tapping F8 key while booting up) When in safe mode run SpySer%26Destroy let it remove what it finds. Run Adaware next, let it do it's thing

Make note of any problems that they can't remove %26 do a google search to remove them.

You can also do an online scan for both virus %26 malware. I've used TrendMicro's Housecall and Bitdefender, both with great results. Do Google search for them.
