What's a good worm remover?

We think we have a worm/virus on our other computer. Windows keep popping up saying it has detected a worm/virus and there are icons on our computer that we didn't put on there such as some spyware scan stuff. And also, our wallpaper automatically changed on it's own into some red color, spyware, adware picture. And it even lets you click on it and directs you to some website! So what's a good program to buy that will protect and remove things like this?

first and most important turn off the system restore so the torjan does not reattach after deletion , next download and run this

I promise you it will fix your issue I have seen your problem a few 100 times in my shop , you have the smitfraud trojan

this program will tell you to run it in safe mode , you do not have too just chose option 2 and run it

once done system restore can be turned back on , I however recommend leaving it off

I doubt that its windows telling you there's spyware. The thing that is telling you there is spyware/adware etc is the adware itself. Windows doesn't come with antispyware preloaded.

I would suggest you to use Spybot SD. Two reasons - its really good, and its free.
